THE Magic Show - 14th September 2012

RICE and The Bath Circle of Magicians joined together to present a fantastical evening of fun and illusions to raise money for both organisations. There were specialist entertainers performing magical tricks which captivated everyone on the night.

Magical tricks were performed by members of the Bath Circle. There was

• Amanda Eve....International lady of mystery.....who beguiled male members of the audience with accessories and saws!
• Master Twister Dave Hickory made balloons evolve into wonderful shapes
• Paul Preager showed his unique combination of magic and comedy using levitation and some nifty knife work!
• John Isaacs, president of the bath circle of magicians, displayed his amazing sleight of hand
• Crazy and zany illusionist Adrian Burholt kept the audience gasping

As well as the stage performers other magicians performed incredible close-up magic right under the noses of the audience, as they went from table to table. All in all a great night of entertainment.

The RICE Jazz Concert – 13^th October 2011

American Jazz vocalist Joan Davis, accompanied by some very talented friends including saxophonist Tony Kofi, delivered a great show of jazz and blues for an appreciative audience at Komedia on 13^th October 2011. Opening the event with two songs was Sybil Mansfield, who was the driving force behind the show. She received a standing ovation for her singing and thanks from RICE for her support in helping deliver a successful show.

RICE would like to thank everyone who helped; the volunteers, those who donated raffle prizes, the Komedia team, the performers and all who attended.
