Volunteering
Would you like to play a part in the fight to improve the quality of life of people with dementia?
If you have some spare time and would like to help, there are three ways to volunteer with RICE:
- for fundraising
- for admin support in the RICE Centre
- research volunteers
Fundraising volunteer
BY becoming a fundraising volunteer you will be making a valuable contribution towards RICE achieving our goals. Fundraising volunteers can help us on a regular basis each month or a few times a year depending on availability. There’s much more to fundraising than just rattling a bucket. In fact, there’s no limit to the imaginative ways in which you can help us raise money. Fundraising is fun, rewarding and a great opportunity to meet lots of new people. No qualifications or experience are required.
Please check out the Fundraising page to see details of all of the events coming up where you can join in, as well as collection dates and any urgent cires for help!
Admin support
Our busy Memory Clinic means there’s plenty of work to do keeping admin and filing up-to-date. If you could spare a few hours each week to help out at the RICE Centre, please get in touch and we can explain how you’ll be able to help.

Research Volunteers
At RICE we maintain a healthy volunteer panel to aid our research. If you have a diagnosis of dementia we would also welcome your participation in one of our neuropsychology research projects or one of our clinical trials exploring new drug therapies for treating dementia and memory decline. Please go to our Research Volunteers section for more details.
