There are many ways you can get involved and help make a real difference to the lives of people affected by dementia and other conditions of older age by volunteering with RICE.
Read about our flexible volunteering opportunities to suit you below, then complete our volunteer application form:
Support people with dementia
Support our events and activities for dementia patients and their loved ones. Fancy helping people affected by dementia to unwind, express themselves and connect? We host regular seasonal creative and mindful activities at The RICE Centre at the RUH in Bath.
Gardening
Do you have green fingers and a love of gardening? Help us to make our small garden a beautiful, peaceful space for people affected by dementia to enjoy.
Fundraising Events
There are charity sales and events around Bath and surrounding areas during the summer and in the run up to Christmas. We need people to help run stalls, sell Christmas cards and attend events. We also need people to take part in street collections for us.
Office support
We always need people with office skills such as data entry or typing. If you could attend our office for a few hours each week or month, we would love to hear from you.
Research
Volunteer for medical research to improve our understanding of dementia. Could you take part in a clinical trial or answer a questionnaire? You do not need to have a dementia diagnosis, we encourage anyone to register to get involved in our research. Please contact our Clinical Research and Quality Manager: vanessa.bishop@rice.org.uk.
Please complete the volunteer application form and we will be in touch. If you have any questions, email: volunteering@rice.org.uk. We may also ask your permission to keep your details on file until a suitable opportunity arises.
